• Increasing knowledge – the more we know on a subject the better our chances of successfully changing our behavior
• Reason – With good purpose comes commitment.
• Readiness – Motivation is paramount but physical capabilities are required too.
• Landmark events – A resolution to change can be driven by a past, present or future life happening (i.e., life crisis)
• Self-Management techniques – They will lead you to your desired lifestyle changes.
